Xiaomi is reportedly working on Redmi Note 4X, a variant of Redmi Note 4 that could be the next launch in the Redmi series in China. The rumours of the device first appeared yesterday and now a purported image confirms the name and specifications of the device.
According to the new leaked image spotted by Playfuldroid, the handset comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device is likely powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 653 processor clocked at 2.0GHz. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is also expected to come with thin bezels and overall design similar to Note 4 series.
Xiaomi recently introduced Blue and Black colour variants of Redmi Note 4 in China and the device is rumoured to arrive here as early as January 2017. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is a powerful version of Redmi Note 4 smartphone.
The leaked image also confirms that Redmi Note 4X runs MIUI 8.1.2, which could still be based on Android Marshmallow and not Nougat.
Xiaomi's Redmi Note has topped popularity charts in both China and India. The Chinese smartphone maker could well be trying to capitalise on the popularity by launching an even powerful device. One thing, however, is for certain – Xiaomi will announce the device at a really affordable price, making at another great value for money option.
