The device might get released at Xiaomi event on August 13 along with MIUI 7.
Leaks related to Xiaomi's upcoming event on August 13 in China continue to come. The most recent leak suggests the release of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime in the event along with MIUI 7. The source of leak was the listing of the Redmi 2 Prime on the Amazon India website. However, the listing was for a brief period of time and, as expected, has been removed.
The listing had Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime dual SIM in Grey colour. The listing further showed that device will have a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with 312 ppi, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB memory expandable up to 32GB, 8MP/2MP camera, and a 2200mAh battery. However, the interesting thing is that the phone was listed to come with MIUI 6 version that's based on Android KitKat, given the fact that Xiaomi already has the Lollipop based build, and they are going to release MIUI 7 next week. The leak doesn't say anything regarding the price as of now.
It is the second leak related to Xiaomi within 24 hours. Earlier in the day, an image showing the listing of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 got leaked. The listed phone has 32GB of storage and is priced at CNY 799 (approx. INR 8,206). Both the devices are expected to get released along with MIU 7 next week. As we get closer to the Xiaomi event, we can expect a few more leaks to come up and specs to get revealed.
