Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9A globally in July 2020 along with Redmi 9 and Redmi 9C. Some months later, the company rolled out the Redmi 9 Power in February 2021. Both the smartphones fall under the budget-smartphones’ segment. We are comparing these smartphones and you let us know which one is best suitable for you.
Both the smartphones come with a plastic body but in different colours. The Redmi 9 Power comes in Mighty Black, Fiery Red, Electric Green and Blazing Blue, whereas, the Redmi 9A comes in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, Nature Green.
The Redmi 9A weighs 196g and is 9mm thick. On the other hand, the Redmi 9 Power measures 198g and 9.6mm in thickness.
On the back, Redmi 9A has a single camera setup which is placed in a cylindrical shaped module. You can also see Redmi branding in that same module at the bottom of the smartphone.
Redmi 9 Power has a rectangular module on the back which carries its quad camera setup. The company also did a huge Redmi branding on the back of the phone as well.
Both the smartphones launched with the same 6.53-inch IPS LCD display but Redmi 9 Power has a better resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, whereas, Redmi 9A stays at 720 x 1600 pixels. The Redmi 9 Power’s display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Xiaomi Redmi 9A comes with a MediaTek Helio G25 processor paired with two storage options; 2GB RAM 32GB storage and 3GB RAM 32GB storage. It works on a 5000mAh battery which has 10-watt charging support.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power is packed with a Snapdragon 662 processor and is available in only one storage option that is 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. This smartphone comes with a 6000mAh battery with 18-watt fast charging support, and also supports 2.5-watt reverse wired charging.
Both the smartphones run on MIUI 12 OS based on Android 13.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A has a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera at the front.

But in the Redmi 9 Power, there are four cameras on the back which are a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it uses an 8-megapixel front facing camera.
Now in the price of both of these phones, we see a major difference. Xiaomi Redmi 9A is available on Amazon at a price of ₹7,390 and the Redmi 9 Power is available on Amazon at a price of ₹14,990.
