Xiaomi Redmi 4A goes on sale today, will be available in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants
Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the entry-level smartphone and it was launched in March. The handset will be available from Mi.com and Amazon India.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A, the entry-level Android smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker, will be available for purchase from Amazon India and Mi.com today. The Redmi 4A was launched in March and Xiaomi claims to have sold over 2.5 lakh units of the entry-level device till date. As part of the sale, Amazon India is offering Rs 200 promotional credit on its Kindle app and authorised damage protection plan for Rs 599.
The Redmi 4A buyers will also get additional 30GB free 4G data benefit from Reliance Jio. Other offers include a free 12-month subscription to Hungama Music and 10 percent Supercash on purchasing the device with MobiKwik's mobile wallet. The Redmi 4A is available in two storage variants – 2GB RAM model with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage. The 3GB RAM variant will only be available from Mi.com.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi 4A sports a 5-inch HD display and is powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC. The smartphone features a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and single LED flash. There is also a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and face recognition support. The Redmi 4A also offers expandable storage up to 128GB via SD card slot.
On the connectivity front, the Redmi 4A supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, 4G LTE and GPS. The smartphone runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 3120mAh battery. The Redmi 4A is priced at Rs 5,999 for the 16GB storage model and Rs 6,999 for the 32GB storage variant.
