Amazon India has put up a notifications page for the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi Redmi 4.

Xiaomi is set to introduce its Redmi 4 smartphone in India this month. The company has already started teasing the upcoming launch and now Amazon India has announced that the handset will be available exclusively on its e-commerce platform.

Amazon India has put up a page where customers can sign up for notifications related to Xiaomi's next Redmi smartphone. At the launch of Redmi 4A in March, Xiaomi had revealed its plan to bring Redmi 3S' successor sometime soon. Now it is tipped to launch the Redmi 4 in India as early as next week. However, it is not clear whether the Chinese smartphone maker will introduce only the standard Redmi 4 variant or bring the pro version as well.

To recall, Xiaomi had announced the Redmi 4 smartphone in China in November last year. The smartphone was announced in standard and pro variants differing in terms of display resolution, processor and storage capacity. The standard Redmi 4 features a 5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage.

The pro version, on the other hand, sports a 5-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Both the handsets sport a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and a 4100mAh battery. Xiaomi Redmi 4 variants run relatively older Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 and are likely to be priced at around Rs 9,000.
