Xiaomi has finally launched Redmi 4, its latest budget Redmi series device in China. Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in two variants and will start at 699 Yuan (approximately Rs 6,990) while the budget variant Redmi 4A is priced at 499 Yuan (approximately Rs 4,990).
Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A feature unibody design similar to currently available Redmi series smartphones. The Redmi 4A is the lower-end smartphone here with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The device gets the weaker Snapdragon 425 processor. Both Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 feature 5-inch displays with the Redmi 4A sporting a 720p HD panel.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes in two variants – aptly names as standard and pro editions. Xiaomi Redmi 4 standard version features 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and Snapdragon 430 processor while the Pro variant gets 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and Snapdragon 625 processor. Xiaomi Redmi 4 Standard version gets a 5-inch HD display while the pro version steps up to a full HD display. The Redmi 4 also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A feature 13MP primary cameras and a 5MP secondary cameras. Both the Redmi 4 variants are backed by generous 4100mAh batteries, with support for fast charging while the Redmi 4A gets a 3120mAh battery backup.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 with Snapdragon 430 processor is priced at 699 Yuan (approximately Rs 6,990) while the more powerful Snapdragon 625 variant will be available at 899 Yuan (approximately Rs 8,990). Xiaomi had recently announced Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime in India, Xiaomi will certainly bring Redmi 4 series to India sometime soon.
