Over the past few years, foldable smartphones have been making waves in the tech world, and companies like Samsung, Oppo, and Motorola have set the trend with their popular foldable models. These devices offer the benefit of large, immersive screens while still being compact and portable, making them a favourite among tech enthusiasts and productivity-focused users alike.
Xiaomi does not offer its flip-style phone yet in global markets. Well, that’s about to change. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be launched in global markets this month.
“Excited to announce that #XiaomiMIXFlip will be coming to global markets this September. This wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support from our amazing Xiaomi Fans!” he wrote.

It also supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and has 3000 nits of peak brightness.
For performance, this flip smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It is packed with a 4780mAh battery that supports up to 67W fast charging.

Xiaomi Mix Flip: Will it come to India?
Xiaomi is a well-loved brand in the Indian market, known for its affordable yet feature-packed devices. However, it’s the only major Android brand to launch a foldable phone in India. Samsung, Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus are already selling foldable phones in India, while Google has also entered the category recently. It’s about time Xiaomi launches one too.
One of the reasons behind the reluctance could be the cost attached to the foldable phones. However, a flip-style foldable device usually costs less than a proper book-style foldable phone. So, it won’t be a bad move on Xiaomi’s behalf to bring the Mix Flip to India. Here is to hoping that it actually happens.
