The Xiaomi Mi4 launch at Rs. 19,999 has triggered a tiny but interesting battle between two value brands that offer high-end specifications at extremely competitive pricing. Here's a quick video comparison between the Xiaomi Mi4 and the OnePlus One, explaining the good and the bad about both the devices and helping you choose one.
While the globally popular OnePlus One was launched couple of months ago, with the competing Xiaomi Mi4 finally lauched in India, fence-sitters will finally have to take a call on which of the two value for money premium smartphones is the right fit for their needs. While offering very similar specs, both the phones, the Xiaomi Mi4 and the OnePlus One are very different in terms of UI and appeal. The differentiators are largely based on their UI and heavily customized Android OS. While the Xiaomi Mi4 uses the latest Xiaomi MiUI 6 (bases on Android KitKat), the OnePlus One runs on the CyanogenMod OS, a wildly popular customized OS aimed at Android enthusiasts.
