The much awaited Xiaomi Mi4 is coming to India sometime around December. The smartphone, which was launched in China on the day that the Mi3 started selling in India, has already been talked about a lot. In an interview with Digit, Xiaomi vice president of global, Hugo Barra said that the smartphone will be launched in India at “the end of the year”. We asked him if that would be around December and he said yes. Barra also said that the India version will be a completely new version, which will support TD-LTE, unlike the Mi4 being sold in China right now.

Further, we asked Barra what the ideal price of a high-end smartphone should be, to which he replied saying it should be between Rs 20,000-25,000. This could mean that the Mi4 would be priced in that range when it is launched in India. If so, it would be a very competitive pricing, considering the specifications of the device.
The Xiaomi Mi4 comes with the 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core processor along with 3 GB of RAM and the Adreno 330 GPU. It has 16 GB of internal memory and runs on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with MiUI v6. In addition, the smartphone has a 5 inch full-HD IPS display, a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. The battery on the Mi4 is slightly bigger than its predecessor at 3,080 mAh.
