The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is all but confirmed to launch at the sidelines of MWC later this month, going by the series of leaks and rumours about the upcoming smartphone. Recently, people over at OnPhones got their hands on a working unit of the Mi Mix 2S and shot a video showing the phone in operation. That should be confirmation enough that the Mi Mix 2S is real. While the original Mi Mix sparked off the bezel-less trend, the Mi Mix 2S apes the design of the most expensive bezel-less phone — the iPhone X (review). The phone looks like a photocopy of Apple’s offering, right down to the notch.
The upcoming Mi Mix 2S also works like the iPhone X, with gestures for accessing the task switcher. Although, the phone keeps the home bar intact in the body.
The video is also smartly shot. It doesn’t reveal everything about the phone. We didn’t get to see the top right corner of the phone, where, according to the leaked renders, the front camera will be housed.
The Mi Mix 2S was expected to launch at MWC in Barcelona at the end of this month. However, we haven’t received an official invite for a launch event by the company. The phone is rumoured to sport a 5.99-inch bezel-less display with an under display fingerprint sensor, and powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset.
