Also, the smartphone has received a Rs 2,000 price cut in India and can now be purchased at Rs 32,999.

Mi Mix 2 users will need to register for the beta testing program before 11:59 PM, January 8 (Beijing Time), in order to receive the Oreo Beta global update for their smartphone. It should be noted that from those who are applying, only active members on the Mi forum will be selected. Users need to navigate to the Recruitment section on the app's homepage and after filling in the relevant information, they will receive a notification of successfully applying to the MIUI Beta team.

Selected users will be notified the next day on the MIUI Global forum. Also, as its a global beta ROM, users across the world can apply for it, however, the language of their device should be set to English and it must be running on the latest version of MIUI Global Developer ROM.

Xiaomi does say that being a Beta ROM, some bugs and crashes can be expected. The Oreo ROM will update the device with new features like Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode, auto-fill, adaptive icons, redesigned settings app, dynamic notification dots, and more.
