Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 launching today, everything you need to know

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to sport a near bezel-less display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. The company could also launch another smartphone, the Mi Note 3 and a new Mi Notebook at the event.

Xiaomi is all set for its Mi product launch today and is expected to reveal its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The launch event is taking place in Beijing, China at 2PM CST, which means at 12:30PM IST. Xiaomi is also expected to launch another high-end Mi Note phone, the Mi Note 3 and a new Mi Notebook. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to feature a bezel-less edge-to-edge display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. A recent report suggested that the the Mi Mix 2 will sport only a single bezel at the bottom of the screen and could sport a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. In earlier reports, the device was rumoured to be powered by a Snapdragon 836 platform, however, Qualcomm has confirmed that it will use the Snapdragon 835 chipset instead. The Mi Mix 2 is expected to sport the latest MIUI 9 OS based upon Android Nougat. The smartphone is also expected to feature a dual camera setup and house a 4400mAh battery. The Mi Mix is rumoured to be launched in two variants of  6GB RAM, 128GB storage and an 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi Mi Note 3
Along with the Mi Mix 2, reports suggest that Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi Note 3. The Mi Note 3 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform similar to the Mi Mix 2. The smartphone is also rumoured to sport a 5.7-inch Samsung 2K OLED display, as Xiaomi had announced their partnership with Samsung to use the latter's AMOLED displays starting with its next flagship device. The Mi Note 3 is also rumoured to be launching in two variants of 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and an 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the latter being the top variant of the smartphone. The smartphone is expected to run MIUI 9 atop Android Nougat and may be backed by a 4070mAh battery. 

Mi Notebook
There is also a high chance that Xiaomi may reveal a new model of the Mi Notebook. According to a recent report, the notebook is expected to sport a 15.6-Inch display and support LTE connectivity as well. The notebook is expected to be powered by the latest Intel Kaby lake processor and sport 8GB and 16GB variants. The notebook could also be made available in varied configurations.

Pricing
There is still no confirmation regarding the pricing of the Mi Mix 2 or the Mi Note 3 yet, however, The Mi Mix 2 can be expected to be priced above its predecessor Mi Mix (CNY 3,499 or Rs 34,500 approx) and be priced around $500 (Rs 38,893 approx) for the 6GB variant and $699 (Rs 45,333 approx) for the 8GB variant. The Mi Note 3 is also expected to be launched in 2 variants and the 6GB variant could be priced around $600 (Rs 38,500 approx) while the 8GB variant could be priced at $770 (Rs 49,000 approx).

As for the Mi Notebook, the last Mi Notebook, the Mi Notebook Air, was launched back in July 2016 was priced starting at CNY 4,999 (Rs 47,500 approx). The new Mi Notebook is expected to be priced higher than its predecessor at about Rs 57,000.
