Xiaomi Mi Max 2 may be unveiled alongside Mi 6 on April 19

Xiaomi may be planning to unveil its Mi Max 2 phablet alongside the Mi 6, according to a report by MyDrivers. The company has already confirmed that it will launch its new flagship smartphone on April 19 at an event in Beijing. The Mi Max 2 was recently spotted on GFXBench, and like its predecessor, is tipped to sport a 6.4-inch Full HD display. It is listed has having a 12MP rear, and 5MP front camera. The device is tipped to sport a 5000mAh battery, and may run a version of the company's MIUI, which is based on Android Nougat. The listing doesn’t name the exact processor being used, only that it is features an Adreno 506 GPU. This is currently being used in the Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 626 platforms. However, other reports suggest that the device may sport a Snapdragon 660 platform, which Qualcomm has not yet announced.

The Xiaomi Mi Max was unveiled in India back in June 2016 and was available in two variants. The standard variant, which runs on the Snapdragon 650 platform with 3GB RAM/32GB storage and the Prime variant, which runs on the Snapdragon 652 platform with 4GB RAM/128GB storage. Both devices sport 6.44-inch FHD displays and are equipped with 4850mAh.
