However, the smartphone maker has announced the India pricing and availability of the device at an event today. The Mi A3 is the company’s third Android One handset, which ditches the company’s MIUI to run on stock Android 9 Pie. It is a mid-range handset that is following the triple rear camera trend and adds a 48MP sensor to sweeten the deal.
The Xiaomi A3 is powered by the 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage space. Backed by a 4030mAh battery, the handset sports a USB Type-C port that supports Quick Charge 3.0 with 18W Fast Charge. In addition, the company decided to bring back the 3.5mm audio jack, which was omitted from the Mi A2.
Coming to the optics, the Mi A3 features a triple rear camera setup. It consists of a 48MP Sony sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens, which is supplemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera can record 4K video at 30fps and slow-motion Full HD video at 120fps. It also supports AI portrait mode. On the front sits a 32MP sensor, which is paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens and comes with support for AI Face Unlock and Panorama selfie.
