Xiaomi’s Android One based smartphone, the Mi A1 is going on sale in India today. The device will be available via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi homes starting 12 noon today. Consumers can directly buy the phone and don’t need to pre-register to be eligible for the sale.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 will be available in Black and Gold colors in the current sale, however, the device also comes in a Gold Rose variant. For launch offers, users who buy the phone with Airtel will get 200GB of additional 4G data and Mi.com is offering a textured back cover at Rs 499 for the device. Buyers can also avail 10 percent supercash by buying the Mi A1 using MobiKwik.
Xiaomi launched its first Android One based smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi A1 last week. Priced at Rs 14,999, the smartphone is the company’s first offering that runs on near stock Android rather than their own MIUI. The Mi A1 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and has been promised an Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade by December this year. The smartphone is also assured to receive the Android P upgrade.
The Mi A1 features a full metal unibody design and sports a fingerprint sensor on the rear. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
