Xiaomi launched its new flagship, the Mi 6, just a few weeks back and now the company may be planning to cheaper variant of the phone with slightly lower specifications. A device tipped to be the Mi 6c has been spotted on benchmarking website, GFXBench. The phone is codenamed Jason, and is and listed as having a 5.1-inch Full HD display, which is about the same as the Mi 6. The device is tipped to offer 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. At the back is a 12MP camera, while at the front is a 5MP unit. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 660 platform with Adreno 512 graphics.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched in China a few weeks back and sports a 5.15-inch Full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 835 platform with 6GB of RAM. At the back is a dual-rear camera setup consisting of two 12MP cameras in a setup similar to the iPhone 7 Plus with one wide-angle lens and the other a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. At the front is an 8MP camera for selfies.

A cheaper version of the Mi 6 wouldn’t be too surprising considering that Xiaomi has launched similar ‘c’ variants of their Mi 4 and Mi 5 flagship device. However, both of these devices were not launched in India.
