The Xiaomi Mi 6 is likely to come in two different storage options. The smartphone is confirmed to launch sometime this month

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has already confirmed that the Mi 6 will be launched this month. While the launch date is still a secret, the handset has appeared in GFXBench's benchmarking platform. GFXBench is refering the smartphone as Xiaomi Saggit and confirms the use of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor.

The handset sports a 5.1-inch full HD display and will come in two different storage variants. The 4GB RAM variant will offer 64GB storage while the 6GB RAM option will bump the storage to 128GB. The benchmark hints at a 12MP rear camera with support for 4K video recording and an 8MP front camera also capable of 4K video recording. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat skinned with MIUI and could become the third smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor. While Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the first device ro come with the Snapdragon 835 processor, Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available commercially before Sony's devices.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is also likely to come with a bigger Plus variant featuring a 5.7-inch 1080p display. The rumours hint at Mi 6 starting at 1,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,000) for the base model and 2,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 27,000) for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
