Xiaomi will launch the Mi 5 in India next month. The announcement was made by the company’s Vice President, Hugo Barra during the launch of the Redmi Note 3 in India. Towards the end of the event, Barra says that “Redmi Note 3 is just the beginning,” and then says that the Xiaomi Mi 5 is coming to india and it will be available in India in a month.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 was launched in China on March 1 and Barra said that the device already got 1.6 crore registrations for the first sale. He didn’t reveal the exact date of the launch in India, but said, “we are working really, really hard to make this happen for you all.” Barra had earlier said that the company was planning to launch the Mi 5 in India well into the year.
