Xiaomi has kept the Mi 5 under the wraps for quite sometime now. The specs of the phone have been under constant speculation, but the latest rumours suggest that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. The Snapdragon 820 is a quad-core SoC which is manufactured using 14nm FinFET technology. Moreover, this is the first time Qualcomm will be using its custom made Kryo cores instead of ARM based processor cores.

Apart from housing the Snapdragon 820 SoC, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is also expected to sport a 5.2-inch display, offering a resolution of 2560 x 1440p. It may have 4GB of RAM and the company is expected to bring out 2 storage variants – 16GB and 64GB. The phone is also expected to get a 16MP rear camera with dual-LED flash. The front-facing camera is suggested to be an 8MP one and it may house a 3600mAh battery.

The Mi 5 may also offer dual-SIM capabilities and will be a 4G/LTE enabled smartphone. Previous rumors have suggested that the phone will also get a fingerprint sensor. The Xiaomi Mi5 is likely to run on MIUI 7 which is based on Android Lollipop 5.1. All the mentioned features and specs match previous leaks and even the design is quite similar to what we have seen in the past. It should be mentioned that the phone was previously listed on Oppomart with slightly different specs last month. However, that page has also been taken down.
