Xiaomi Mi 10S has officially launched in China powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. The Mi 10S is positioned as part of the Mi 10 series which was launched back in 2020. However, Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 870 as an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865 and 865 Plus processors which means that we will see more phones with the 870 arrive soon at affordable prices.
The Mi 10S features a high-refresh-rate display, powerful flagship processor, quad cameras, stereo speakers and supports fast charging out-of-the-box. Here’s a brief look at the specifications and features of the Mi 10S.
The Mi 10S features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution display that uses an AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has a punch-hole cutout in the top-left corner for selfies and is topped with Gorilla Glass 5. It measures 9 millimetres in thickness and weighs 208 grams.
Xiaomi Mi 10S is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 650 GPU. This is paired with upto 12GB RAM and 256GB storage options to choose from. It runs on Android 11 based MIUI 12 out-of-the-box.
The Mi 10S has quad cameras on the back that consists of a primary 108MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 123-degree field-of-view, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The rear cameras can record in 8K UHD at 30FPS and 4K UHD at upto 60FPS with support for EIS. There’s a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Mi 10S has an in-display fingerprint reader and is equipped with a 4,780mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging, 30W fast wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Mi 10S is priced at CNY 3299 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, CNY 3499 for the 256GB storage and CNY 3799 for the maxed-out 12GB+256GB storage option. This indicates a starting price of Rs 36,900 by direct conversion but Xiaomi is yet to reveal its plans to launch the Mi 10S in India.
