Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi which just launched its two new device in India, is currently working on a new smartphone. Details have emerged of a new Xiaomi device codenamed Ferrari which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC.
Images from the leaked benchmarks show that the said device has a 4.9-inch display and will be sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The Snapdragon 615 SoC consists of an 1.6GHz Octa-core CPU which is coupled with a Adreno 405 GPU. From the alleged specs, it is clear that the device features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The rear camera on the smartphone is a 12MP shooter which is aided by autofocus and flash. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos. At the front there is a 4.8MP camera which can also do 1080p videos. Another noteworthy specification is that the device is running on Android Lollipop, but then of course it will be garnered with MIUI on top of it.
No further details regarding the battery, weight, build quality or design have come to light. It is to be believed that since it is powered by a Snapdragon 615, Xiaomi might be aiming to put a device between its budget and flagship models.
The company recently launched a newer version of its budget offering, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 which is currently available in a flash sale model. Besides this Xiaomi also launched its first tablet, the Xiaomi Mi Pad powered by a very powerful Nvidia Tegra K1 processor and featuring a 2K display.
