It seems like there may not be a smaller version of Xiaomi’s Mi Mix smartphone. According to a report by Chinese website, MyDrivers, Xiaomi’s Marketing Director, Zang Zhiyuan said on Weibo that the company was not working on a product called the Mi Mix Nano. This would come as a disappointment to some users who were hoping for a smaller version of the Mi Mix. However, it should be noted that Zhiyuan has since removed the post from his Weibo account.
While Xiaomi has done an admirable job of creating a 6.4-inch device that about as large as an iPhone 7 Plus. However, it’s still a pretty large device. A few days ago, it was reported that images of a device purported to be the Mi Mix Nano were posted online. The device was tipped to sport a smaller 5.5-inch display with a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix is a powerful device with a Snapdragon 821 SoC with 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. However, the highlight of the phone was the design. The phone has a 91.3 percent screen to body ratio and has not bezel on top. Instead, the earpiece and sensors are located below the display, while the front camera has been relocated to the bottom of the device.
