Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun has posted a camera sample of the upcoming Mi 5S on his Weibo account, and in the process, confirmed the name of the device as well. Jun noted the photograph was taken without any filters. Back in February, Xiaomi CEO Lin Bin had posted camera samples of the Mi 5, before the phone was unveiled. Xiaomi has also revealed that the phone will come with a dual-rear camera setup. The company posted a photograph of the cameras on its Weibo page. The dual-camera setup should help users achieve bokeh effects, easily. Xiaomi recently released the Redmi Pro smartphone that also sports a dual-rear camera setup. Details about the camera on the Mi 5S is not yet known.
MyDrivers claims to have gotten the EXIF data of the photograph. The data reveals details such as an f/2.0 aperture lens, and image resolution of 3264×2448 pixels. This translates to about 8 megapixels. However, it is noted that there is some compression, and the actual photo resolution will most likely be about 12MP to 13MP.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S is scheduled to be unveiled on September 27 and the company has been teasing the device for a while now. Yesterday, a teaser image shared by the company showed the number 164119. This is most likely the AnTuTu score of the upcoming smartphone.
