Xiaomi can soon unveil its flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra soon. The smartphone is expected to drop in China by the end of February 2025. If rumours are to be believed, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra can officially drop on February 28. The smartphone is expected to go heavy on both cameras and performance. We can get to see some new features and significant upgrades in other places.
Thanks to the rumours and leaks, a lot about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is already known. It is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a quad-camera system. Reports from tipsters like Digital Chat Station and Smart Pikachu suggest that it can carry a 1-inch 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor capable of 4.3x optical zoom. So this time we can get to see enhanced macro capabilities, a large aperture for better light capture, and improved low-light performance are also expected.
On the software front, it can run on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0. It is also likely to include IP68 and IP69 certifications for water and dust resistance, along with support for wireless charging. It can carry a 5,000mAh battery just like its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
After the Chinese launch, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra can also make its way to India. The smartphone has been already spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. This means that the launch can happen soon. If the company follows previous patterns, the phone could hit Indian markets by March 2025, priced around Rs 99,999, similar to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
For now, let’s take this information with a pinch of salt as the company is yet to confirm the same.
