Qualcomm has finally announced the next-generation flagship chipset for smartphones. This will be the successor of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is called the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Several flagship phones, including the Xiaomi 15, iQOO 13, Realme GT 7 Pro, and more are confirmed to launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This chip runs on the second-gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU and it boasts a 45% boost in speed and efficiency. Along with advanced AI capabilities, console-quality gaming graphics, and improved camera features, these devices can level up and deliver a top-notch experience with this new processor.

Xiaomi was the first brand to confirm the availability of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor in the Xiaomi 15 series. The lineup will include the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro, and these are said to be the first smartphones to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor globally.
After Xiaomi, iQOO has also confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Elite to power the iQOO’s upcoming flagship smartphone. Jia Jingdong, Vice President of Vivo Brand and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, revealed this in a Weibo post. Moreover, he also claimed that it will be packed with significant advancements in CPU, GPU, and NPU performance.
Obviously, the OnePlus 13 will also use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, as revealed by the brand. OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 13 in China on October 31. However, on October 23, the brand will host an event in China to reveal more details about the upcoming smartphone.
The Realme GT 7 Pro is also among the first smartphones to debut with this new chipset. Moreover, Realme has also confirmed that this will also be the first smartphone to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite in India.
During the Snapdragon Summit, George Zhao, CEO of Honor, confirmed that the upcoming Honor Magic 7 series will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. He also introduced some advanced AI capabilities on Magic 7 smartphones. Unfortunately, the India launch date of these smartphones has not been revealed yet.
