Xiaomi launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14 in India yesterday. Apart from launching the long-anticipated Xiaomi 14, the Chinese brand also dropped a surprise. It announced the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for India as well. This is the first Ultra smartphone from Xiaomi that is coming to India. The USP of this smartphone is its camera which comes with Leica optics. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is equipped with a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display. This display supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 68B colours, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it has 3000 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra features a 6.8-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. This display has 2600 nits of peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Armor.

Both smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra offers 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, whereas, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.
Speaking of their Android 14-based OS, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra uses the latest HyperOS. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra runs on OneUI 6.1. Here comes the most interesting part, the camera. Both smartphones are packed with great camera capabilities. Xiaomi has again partnered with Leica for the Xiaomi 14 series. For those, who don’t know, Leica is a known German company that specialises in the manufacturing of optical devices, including cameras, lenses, binoculars, and scopes. This device consists of a 50-megapixel OIS main camera, a 50-megapixel Telephoto sensor with 3.2 optical zoom, a 50-megapixel Periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel Ultrawide lens. For selfies, you get a 32-megapixel front camera.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra also has a quad-camera setup. This includes a 200-megapixel OIS main camera, a 10-megapixel Telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel Periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel Ultrawide lens. On the front, it has a 12-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is packed with a 5300mAh battery with 90-watt fast charging. Along with that, it has 80-watt wireless charging and 10-watt reverse wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, on the other hand, boasts a 5000mAh battery with 45-watt fast charging. Furthermore, it supports 15-watt wireless charging and 4.5-watt reverse wireless charging.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has been launched in India at a price of ₹99,999 in India. Coming to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, its base variant comes at a price of ₹1,29.999.
So, the price gap between both smartphones is huge. However, the difference in their specifications is not a lot.
