Xiaomi 14 has made its debut globally. It has been launched during the MWC 2024 (Mobile World Congress). For a few days, we will see a lot of tech news coming straight from MWC 2024, happening in Barcelona. Xiaomi’s latest flagship was first launched in China last year and it will arrive in India on March 7. It is the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. However, the processor is not it, the Xiaomi 14 packs a lot more. In this article, we will compare the Xiaomi 14 with the OnePlus 12 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus. All three smartphones are the latest flagships of their brands. Let’s go!
The Xiaomi 14 features a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display that supports 68-billion colour, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, 120Hz refresh rate, and has 3000 nits of peak brightness. Furthermore, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The OnePlus 12 is equipped with a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display. It supports 10-bit colour, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, 120Hz refresh rate, and it also has 3000 nits of peak brightness. This display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Samsung’s Galaxy S24, on the other hand, has a 6.2-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED display, which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, and it has 2600 nits of peak brightness.

Speaking of the processor, both the Xiaomi 14 and the OnePlus 12 run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Whereas, Samsung decided to use an in-house chipset, the Exynos 2400. Now, which one is more powerful? Well, I would like to go with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Samsung’s processors are not very powerful processors but the Galaxy S24 has an additional advantage, which is the Galaxy AI. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is more about AI than performance. It not only has AI features but is infused with it.
Coming to storage, the Xiaomi 14 rolls out globally with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The OnePlus features up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S24 has only up to 8GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Talking about their UI, all three of them run on Android 14-based skin. The Xiaomi 14 runs on HyperOS, the OnePlus 12 has OxygenOS 14, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 features OneUI 6.1.

Now, it’s very difficult to decide which phone has the best camera. All three of them are equipped with mind-blowing cameras and features. The Xiaomi 14 has a triple-camera setup with Leica lens. There’s a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel Telephoto sensor with 3.2x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel Ultrawide lens with 115˚ field of view. On the front, you get a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
The OnePlus 12 also features a triple camera setup with Hasselblad tuning. This includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 64-megapixel Periscope Telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom, and a 48-megapixel Ultrawide lens with 114˚ field of view. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 comes with three camera sensors as well. The main camera is a 50-megapixel sensor, then there is a 10-megapixel Telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel Ultrawide lens. For selfies, you get a 32-megapixel camera.

The OnePlus 12 has the biggest battery among these smartphones. It has a 5400mAh battery that supports up to 100-watt fast charging, 50-watt wireless charging, and a 10-watt reverse wireless charging. Moreover, the Xiaomi 14 is backed by a 4610mAh battery and supports 90-watt fast charging, 50-watt wireless, and 10-watt reverse wireless. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S24 has a 4000mAh battery and it supports 25-watt fast charging, 15-watt wireless, and 4.5-watt reverse wireless.
As I mentioned, the Xiaomi 14 will be launched in India on March 7. So, we don’t have the confirmed price details yet. However, it is expected to launch at a starting price of around ₹75,000. Furthermore, the OnePlus 12 is available in India at a starting price of ₹69,999. Lastly, the base variant of Samsung Galaxy S24 can be bought at ₹79,999.
This is like walking on a tightrope, as all three of them have something worth buying it for. As per the given specifications, the Xiaomi 14 has the best display, the OnePlus packs the best camera, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 comes with mind-blowing AI features.
