Xiaomi has finally revealed the official launch date of the Xiaomi 13 on its Weibo account, along with releasing promotional images of the device. The brand has confirmed that the smartphone will enter markets on December 11, 2022, at 7 pm (local time) in China. The press renders of the device show what it looks like up close, and here’s everything we know.
The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro have an incredibly similar design, with one main difference: the Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to be larger than the Xiaomi 13. The Xiaomi 13 is rumoured to have an AMOLED display along with a punch-hole design for the front camera. The Xiaomi 13 Pro, on the other hand, has a curved display that looks slightly larger. The camera module has a square shaped design and houses a dual-LED flash, three camera lenses, and Leica branding.
The Xiaomi 13 has rounded corners and flat edges. The volume rocker and power key sit on the right side of the body, while the top edge houses the microphone, speakers, and an IR blaster (presumably). The SIM slot, USB-C port, microphone, and speaker grille are all located on the bottom edge of the smartphone. It is believed that the black, white, and green variants of this phone will have a glass back, while the blue variant will have a leather back.
It is believed that the Xiaomi 13 will come with a 6.36-inch E6 AMOLED FHD+ display. This display is rumoured to have a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone may be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The Xiaomi 13 is rumoured to have a 4500 mAh battery capacity along with support for 67W fast charging. It is also believed to have a 32MP selfie camera, along with a 50MP + 12MP + 10 MP camera setup.
The launch of the Xiaomi 13 will be accompanied by other product launches. We’ll be seeing the MIUI 14, Xiaomi Buds 4 TWS earbuds, Xiaomi Watch S2 smartwatch, and Mini Host desktop PC hit markets too.
