With dreams of open devices floating around, it is a thing of wonder to see what the HTC HD2 is capable of. A phone that originally ran Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, got an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5.3, and now, has simple no-jailbreak-required ROMs for Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 – the HTC HD2 will do all this, the ports complete with HTC’s Sense UI.
Perhaps the best news, definitely for HTC HD2 owners, is that you can have the smug satisfaction knowing the nine month old Windows phone can keep up with the current competition. Its 448MB of RAM and 1GHz Snapdragon processor see to that. And in case you need to see it to believe it, check out the two videos below, of the HTC HD2 running both Éclair and FroYo.
