Apart from Delhi, fans can also watch the live launch at select PVR theatres across Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. If you are looking to get your hands on the OnePlus 5T, you can do so early. OnePlus says, “OnePlus 5T will go on Early Access sale on 21st November at 16:30 IST on Amazon India and oneplusstore.in. The device will also be available through all sales channels in the country soon after.”
The OnePlus 5T is OnePlus’ mid-year refresh to the OnePlus 5. OnePlus started the mid-year smartphone refresh with the OnePlus 3T which was a successor to the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6-inch 18:9 display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. If you are wondering about the existance of a 3.5mm headphones jack on the phone, then fear not. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the OnePlus 5T will retain the 3.5mm audio jack.
The smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset and launch in two storage options: 6GB RAM variant with 64GB storage and 8GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage. With Qualcomm not upgrading its Snapdragon mobile platform for the second half of 2017, the company is sticking with the same internals also found on the existing OnePlus 5. As far as the camera setup is concerned, the smartphone is expected to retain the dual camera system with a 16MP primary sensor and a 20MP secondary sensor. However, a GFXBench listing shows only the 16MP primary sensor in the rear camera setup. The company is likely planning to bump the front camera from 16MP to 20MP, while the overall specifications and design seem similar to that of the Oppo R11s which was launched in China last week.
There is no information available about the battery capacity of the smartphone, but it will support Dash Charging and not wireless charging. Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus believes there is no need for wireless charging till the time the company supports Dash Charge for wireless fast charging.
