Vodafone India launches three new international roaming data plans
Vodafone India has announced the launch of three new unlimited roaming data plans for those visiting Saudi Arabia and Japan. Vodafone has launched the new plans in partnership with Softbank’s network in Japan and Mobility’s network in Saudi Arabia.
The new plans are available with validity options of three to seven days. The Rs.1,499 plan has validity of three days, while Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 3,499 are valid for five and seven days respectively. Vodafone will levying standard international data roaming charges, Rs. 5.50 per 10 KB, on using any other international operator’s network in Japan and Saudi Arabia.
Customers can activate the offer by sending an SMS ACT<space>ULJPN3/5/7 – for Japan & ACT<space>ULSAU3/5/7 -for Saudi Arabia (the number 3/5/7 stands for validity, basis the customer choice; only one number to be keyed in) to the toll free number 111 from Vodafone India’s home network. The rental charge for the plan chosen by the customer will feature in the billing cycle.
Vodafone’s new international roaming data plans for Japan
Vodafone says its new data plans comes after a positive feedback from customers on 60 percent discount on international tariffs that were introduced in June 2012. “”There is an increasing demand for data usage while on international roaming and our latest international roaming data packages bridges this gap and guarantees affordable connectivity for our customers travelling to high traffic destinations like Japan and Saudi Arabia,” says Sunil Sood, Chief Operating Officer, Vodafone India.
