Vivo X90 Pro+ gets 3C certification, could feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
As per the 3C certification, Vivo X90 Pro+ will support fast wired charging up to 80W.
It could come with a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED E6 panel with a 2K resolution.
All three devices in the series are expected to come out later this year.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is gearing up to release yet another flagship smartphone series before the world. By the end of this year, the company could release the successor to its X80 series – the X90 series. Ahead of the anticipated launch, one of the lineup models has received 3C certification with the model number V2227A.
Vivo X90 Pro+ could support 80W fast charging
According to a report by Gizmochina, the model number is associated with the top-of-the-line Vivo X90 Pro+ model. Let's have a look at what the 3C certification reveals about the Vivo X90 series. As per the 3C certification, Vivo X90 Pro+ will support fast wired charging up to 80W. Additionally, the smartphone will come with 5G connectivity, which should be valid for all flagship smartphones that are released henceforth.
Although the listing does not reveal much, other sources have also hinted about the upcoming smartphone's specifications. Based on the X80 lineup, the Vivo X90 series could comprise three different models – Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro and the Vivo X90 Pro+.
Vivo X90 Pro+ rumoured specifications
According to a report by TechGoing, the Vivo X90 Pro+ could come with a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED E6 panel with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone might be powered by the unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is also rumoured to power upcoming flagships like Galaxy S23 Ultra.
However, Qualcomm might reveal the processor at the Snapdragon Summit 2022, scheduled to take place on November 15 to November 17. Although, the other two smartphones in the lineup, Vivo X90 and the Vivo X90 Pro, could come with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset.
As far as optics are concerned, the Vivo X90 Pro+ will feature a 50MP quad-camera setup, including a Sony IMX989V 50MP primary sensor, a Sony IMX598 48MP ultrawide sensor, another 50MP portrait lens and an OmniVision OV64A periscope lens unit. Last but not least, the smartphone could come with up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage. and feature a 4,700 mAh battery
