Vivo X80 series is launching in India on May 18, 2022: Here’s what to expect
The Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro are launching on May 18 in India.
They both sport high-speed 80W charging, 50MP primary camera, 120Hz displays, Android 12 OS, and flagship processors.
The Vivo X80 Pro comes in both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 processor options.
Vivo India has started teasing the launch date of the Vivo X80 series, slated for May 18. There is a countdown timer on the company’s website with the “coming soon” intimation. This was something first spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav a few days back. But then, the teaser page wasn’t accessible to all. Well, it is now.

Vivo X80 series Specs and Features
Starting with the regular Vivo X80, you get a 6.78-inch, E5 AMOLED, FHD+, 120Hz screen with MEMC technology. There is a 32MP camera within a central punch hole cutout. The back cameras include a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 12MP (2x, 20x superzoom) telephoto sensor. You also get a Zeiss optics, Zeiss T* coating, and V1+ ISP. The software is Android 12 based Funtouch OS 12 laid on top of MediaTek Dimensity 9000 with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 80W wired charging.
Compared to it, the Pro model has got an LTPO screen with variable refresh rate support up to 120Hz. You could get to pick the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or MediaTek Dimensity 9000 variants. In the mix of things, you also get IP68 dust and water resistance and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen.
