Vivo X5MAX, 4.75mm super slim phone launched in India at Rs 32980

Vivo is the latest Chinese company to enter the Indian smartphone market. The company launched five new smartphones in the country today.

Vivo has officially entered the Indian market with HiFi X Series, XPlay Series and XShot series of devices. It has also launched its super slim phone – X5MAX. Also touted as the world's slimmest phone, the X5MAX measures 4.75mm, slimmer than the Oppo R5 which is 4.85mm thick. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 32,980.

The Vivo X5MAX has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED full HD display. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with custom Funtouch OS and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor. It has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 3G,4G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. It is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery. The X5AX will be competing against Oppo's super slim phone R5, which is also expected to be priced between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 30,000.

Vivo has also launched the Xshot smartphone. The smartphone has a 5-inch full HD display. It runs Android 4.3 and is powered by a Qualcomm 2.26GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. It  has 13MP rear camera with auto focus and flash, and 8MP front facing camera. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage and supports additional storage up to 128GB via microSD. The smartphone is powered by a 2600 mAh battery.

The company has also launched the XShot, X3S, Y15 and Y22 smartphones in the country. While the X3S and Xshot are going to be priced between Rs. 20-30k, the Y15 and Y22 cost around Rs. 8,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively. All the devices will start selling from December 22.
