Vivo is on a roll with its smartphone launches. After the launch of the Vivo X100 Ultra, X100s, and X100s Pro in China, the company is all set to launch the Vivo X200. But as is the case always, and I always say, the leaks and rumours make their way even before the actual phone. Let’s take a look at what we find out this time.

Vivo X200 could feature MediaTek Dimensity 9200

A well-known tipster, Smart Pikachu has shared some details about the upcoming Vivo X200 via a Weibo post. The most exciting thing that he shared is that the smartphone can pack the yet-to-be-launched MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor. This can be MediaTek’s next flagship processor, set to compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. And the Vivo X200 might be the first smartphone to be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chip.

Along with the Vivo X200, the brand will most likely launch the Vivo X200 Pro as well. Apart from this, we don’t know anything else about this upcoming series. The tipster even revealed that we might not get to see a successor to the Vivo S-series. This means that there are no new versions of the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro.

Apart from the Vivo X200 series, we might also get to see the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip on the Oppo Find X8.

Leaked benchmark scores

As I mentioned earlier, this can be MediaTek’s next flagship. The leaked benchmark scores are also pretty promising. The Dimensity 9400 got a CPU score of 786,574, surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s score of 702,689 on Antutu. The GPU score for the Dimensity 9400 was 1,422,243, again outperforming the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s 1,330,057. Overall, the Dimensity 9400 scored 3,449,366 compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s 3,133,570.

Coming to Geekbench now, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 led slightly in the single-core test with a score of 2,845 against the Dimensity 9400’s 2,776. While the Dimensity 9400 excelled in the multi-core test with 11,739 points, surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s 10,628.

Well, that’s all that we know so far. We might get to see these chips in the fourth quarter of 2024, likely around October or November. Until then let’s wait for some sort of official communication.
