Vivo V5 Plus with dual-front camera gets listed ahead of launch
The Vivo V5 Plus comes with a combination of 20MP and 8MP front cameras.
Vivo is all set to announce its selfie-centric V5 Plus smartphone in India on January 23. Ahead of its official launch, the Vivo V5 Plus has already been listed on Malaysian retailer DirectD's website.
The Vivo V5 Plus comes with a dual-front camera setup, and offers an enhanced selfie experience over the V5, which was launched recently. The smartphone is available for preorder for 1799 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately Rs 27,500), and reveals the complete specifications. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC as opposed to the MediaTek MT6750 SoC found on the Vivo V5.
The Vivo V5 Plus will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. The dual-SIM device offers hybrid slots, with expandable storage of up to 256GB. The highlight, however, is the dual-front camera setup. Lenovo had announced the Vibe S1 in 2015 with dual front cameras but Vivo is stepping up with higher resolution sensors in its dual-camera selfie smartphone.
The Vivo V5 Plus comes with a combination of 20MP and 8MP front cameras. The 20MP sensor is same as the one found on Vivo V5, while the additional 8MP sensor is meant to add shallow field of depth to selfies. The front camera comes with moonlight flash, and there is a 16MP rear camera as well.
The listing also confirms a 3160mAh battery pack, and fast charging. The smartphone is set to be announced globally on January 20.
