Vivo V5 Plus limited edition matte black variant is now available for purchase from Flipkart. The smartphone was announced on April 4 as a limited edition device to commemorate 10 years of IPL. The matte black variant of Vivo V5 Plus features an 18-carat VIVOIPL logo engraved on its back and is priced at Rs 25,990.
Vivo V5 Plus limited edition differs from the regular variant only in terms of appearance. The smartphone's highlight is the combination of 20MP + 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is capable of shooting selfies with bokeh effect and supports 1080p video recording. The smartphone also sports a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and LED flash. The primary camera also supports 4K video recording but lacks optical image stabilisation.
In terms of hardware, the Vivo V5 Plus limited edition features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The handset runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a front mounted fingerprint sensor. The V5 Plus houses a 3055mAh battery with fast charging support and uses regular microUSB port.
In our review, we observed that "Vivo V5 Plus' dual camera setup adds the ‘bokeh’ effect without much hassle but its performance leaves much room for improvement compared to the competition."
