Vivo has launched the first smartphone from the T2 series which also happens to be the first Vivo phone that’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset. It also packs in a massive 6000mAh battery supported by a high-speed 44W charger. Other notable features of the new Vivo phone are its 144Hz LCD panel with FHD+ resolution and a 50MP dual rear camera setup. Meanwhile, one thing that’s dated for 2022 is the waterdrop notch on the phone’s face.
Let’s start off with the Vivo T2x display which is 144Hz in refresh rate, 240Hz in touch sampling rate, and FHD+ in resolution. The waterdrop notch is arguably long in the tooth. The sensor within it, meanwhile, is a 16MP sensor.
The back cameras are a 50MP shooter and a 2MP macro sensor. These two things and the Vivo branding are the only things at the back.
Coming to the innards of the device includes a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chip, up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 6000mAh battery with 44W charging support.
The other components in the mix are Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band WiFi ac, GPS, USB-C port, a 3.5mm jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Vivo T2x’s asking price is CNY1,599 (~₹18609) for the 8+128GB model and CNY 1,799 (~₹20948) for the 8+256GB variant. The device will be out in black and blue color options.
