Vivo India launched its latest smartphones, V3 and V3 Max, in India today. While the V3 targets the mid-range segment devices like Moto X Play, the V3 Max is targeted at a slightly higher price bracket, pitting it against the likes of OnePlus 2 and Lenovo Vibe X3. The Vivo V3 features a 5-inch HD display, and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC. It houses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable by up to 128GB. A 13MP sensor powers the primary camera, while the front features an 8MP camera. A 2550mAh battery pack powers the device, which is clad in a metal body. The Vivo V3 is priced at ₹17,980.
The Vivo V3 Max is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 652 SoC, along with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable to 128GB. It houses a 5.5-inch Full HD display along with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It retains the same camera as the Vivo V3, alongside packing in a 3000mAh battery pack with Quick Charge 2.0 support. It also features a metal build, and a fingerprint sensor. The Vivo V3 Max is priced at ₹23,980.
Alongside the smartphones, Vivo also announced its new brand ambassador in India, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. This move falls in line with Vivo India CEO Alex Feng's repeated claims of India being the company's prime focus. Ranveer Singh will feature for Vivo across commercials, beginning this month.
