Videocon has just launched an Android 2.1-based full-touch phone, the Zeus, and further extended its portfolio, by introducing four other phones as well.
[RELATED_ARTICLE]Providing full access to the Android Market, the Videocon Zeus (V7500) also comes with a whole bunch of preloaded applications as well as an 8GB microSD card, all at a rather attractive price of Rs. 12,900. At that price, you can’t help but compare it to the LG Optimus GT540, another Android full-touch phone that was released just over a month ago, priced at Rs. 12,990. The GT540 currently however is based on Android 1.6, though it will support an upgrade to Android 2.1.
The Zeus ships with 2.1, and is powered by a 600MHz Qualcomm processor. Other specifications include a 3.2-inch multi-touch screen, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and push mail. The other four phones have sketchy details, and no prices:
