Each year as the Mobile World Congress approaches, buzz around upcoming flagship smartphones heightens and the internet starts to speculate on every morsel of information that could lead to a reveal or a leak. In the spirit of this highly anticipative atmosphere, it is possible that we have now have both single-core and multi-core scores for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 flagship smartphone.
A new Geekbench listing has popped up, showing a mysterious device featuring the Snapdragon 845 chipset. There is no name mentioned for the device, but it can be seen that the listing was updated on February 7, 2018. A single-core score of 2378 and a multi-core score of 8132 are seen in the listing, alongside Android 8.0 Oreo. The results also reveal 6GB RAM on the device.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9+ could launch with a 6GB RAM variant, given that the Galaxy Note 8 also featured higher RAM compared to the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The listing could also belong to some other smartphone bearing the 10nm Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. A recent report suggested that the chipset could first debut on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, which is also rumoured to be unveiled at MWC 2018. However, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed a special event for MWC. All we know for now is that the company will have a booth present at the event.
