Uber is teaming up with Eurocopter and Asian Khaus to bring the Chopper service to users.
If this isn’t a good way to win back customers, then we don’t know what is. Uber, the mobile-based cab service, is offering couples a chance to take a ride in a chopper on Valentine’s Day. The company just sent out a mail to its users, informing them of the new addition. As part of the Valentine’s Day special, Uber users can book a chopper for them and their Valentine for a 20 minute ride around their city. The company is teaming up with Eurocopter and Asian Haus restaurant in order to deliver this service.
In order to book the chopper, users must have a minimum of Rs. 5,000 in their PayTM wallet that is linked to their Uber account. The Uber Chopper option will show up in the app. Booking a ride through this will consist of a pick and drop by Uber Black, along with a 20 minute helicopter ride and then a poolside meal at Asian Haus. The service will be available only to Uber Delhi users.
Further, the company will be offering the service only on February 14, between 9.30 am and 10.30 pm. The mail warns users to try multiple times, because it expects high demand on the day.
As you may have noted, the service is a mix of three companies coming together. While Uber will be providing the cabs from its Uber Black service, Eurocopter will be providing the chopper service as Asian Haus takes care of the meal.
