Amazon Pay needs to be selected as the preferred payment method to avail the offer

With Amazon Prime Day coming up, Uber has announced a new promotional offer as part of a partnership with Amazon Pay. With this offer, Prime customers can get a 20 percent discount of up to Rs 60 for three trips per month. Customers will also get complimentary ride upgrades as part of this offer. Amazon Prime Day is scheduled to take place on July 23 and July 24 in India, and comes with a host of deals and discounts across Amazon's vast catalogue of products.

The offer will be valid for Uber Auto, Moto, Rentals and Intercity as well. Users who make use of the offer can get complimentary ride upgrades to Uber Premier at the price of UberGo. And again, a 20 percent discount up to Rs 60 on three rides. That's Rs 20 per ride, not Rs 60 per ride.

How to avail the Uber and Amazon Pay promotion

In order to make use of this offer, users will first need to link their Amazon Pay wallet to the Uber app. After that, Amazon Pay needs to be selected as the preferred payment method when booking a ride on the popular ride-sharing platform. The offer will not work with any other payment options.

Naturally, non-Prime members will not be able to avail these promotional offers even if they do use Amazon Pay. The offer is currently live, and is valid until December 31, 2022. When done correctly, the discounts will apply automatically to your first three rides on Uber per month.
