Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced that it is partnering with Foxconn to make its smartphones in India. The company announced in an event in Bengaluru today, that it will be making phones at Foxconn’s manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh. It also said that OnePlus has sold 15,000 units of the OnePlus 2 in the first 12 minutes of the hour long open sale that it held today on Amazon. Further, in an official blog post, the company also announced that it will be holding another open sale of the OnePlus 2 smartphone tomorrow. The device will be available for purchase without an invite from 8am tomorrow on Amazon India and will continue till stocks last. This could be a part of Amazon's festive sales.
The company had held an open sale of the OnePlus 2 for an hour between 12pm and 1pm today. OnePlus commented on the one hour open sale of the OnePlus 2 in its post, saying, “OnePlus India fans, that was something else! Thank you for your tremendous support and response to the first-ever Open Sale for the OnePlus 2 held today.”
