Translucent HTC U11 Plus leaked ahead of today’s launch
The HTC U11 Plus is launching today and a video showcasing the translucent variant leaked ahead of the official launch
HTC is expected unveil the U11 Plus on November 2 in Silver, Black and Translucent colour options. If information circulating the Internet is to be believed, then the HTC U11 Plus will sport a 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels. The display of the smartphone is expected to have the 18:9 aspect ratio. Moving to the optics, the smartphone has an 8 MP selfie camera and a 12MP rear camera. The HTC U11 Plus isn’t jumping onto the dual-rear camera bandwagon. A 4000mAh battery powers the smartphone and it is expected that the water resistance will be bumped from IP67 to IP68. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to have the Snapdragon 835 platform, 4 or 6GB of RAM and come in 64 and 128GB storage variants.
A hands-on video of the translucent variant of the smartphone leaked online and was quickly removed but images from the video are populating the internet. Evan Blass later tweeted a render of the translucent HTC U11 Plus, giving us a better look at the unique finish. From the image, it is clear that the smartphone has a metallic coil underneath the HTC logo. This is likely a mix of the phones hardware and aesthetic design. Some speculations also suggest that the coil could be linked to wireless charging.
All rumours will be put to rest when the smartphone is officially announced later today. There is no information available about an India price or launch date.
