Oppo has launched its new tablet, Oppo Pad 2. The tablet looks very similar to the OnePlus Pad as it has a circular camera module right in the middle on rear and also comes with an aluminium frame.
Today I am comparing the new OPPO Pad 2 with the Xiaomi Pad 5 which was launched last year in May. Let’s bring it on.
The design of the OPPO Pad 2 closely resembles that of the OnePlus Pad, as evidenced by the placement of the camera module on the back, which is identical to that of the OnePlus Pad. Additionally, the OPPO Pad 2 includes magnetic pins for attaching a keyboard and is available in two colours: Gray and Gold.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a flat aluminium frame with thin bezels. The back is made up of plastic with a matte finish. The tablet comes with a sleek design, featuring 6.9mm thinness and it is 511g in weight. There is only one colour option available in India which is Gray.
OPPO Pad 2 has an 11.6-inch 7:5 aspect ratio LCD display which is also 2.5D curved. The display comes with a resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels and it supports Dolby Vision, 144Hz refresh rate, and Hardware-level blue light reduction.
Xiaomi Pad 5 features an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. The display of this tablet supports 10-bit colours, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
OPPO Pad 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and storage of up to 512GB. The tablet runs on the latest ColorOS 13 based on Android 13. It packs a 9510mAh battery with 67-watt fast charging support.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is backed by the Snapdragon 860 chipset paired with up to 6GB RAM and storage of up to 256GB. It runs on Android 11 but can be upgraded to the latest Android 13-based MIUI 14 operating system. This tablet comes with an 8720mAh battery with 33-watt fast charging support.
OPPO Pad 2 is equipped with a single 13-megapixel camera and a LED flash on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Pad 5 also has the same camera configuration but with a Dual-LED flash.
The OPPO Pad 2 launched in China at a starting price of 2999 yuan which is approximately ₹36,000. On the other hand, Xiaomi Pad 5 was launched in India at a starting price of ₹26,999.
