It is raining foldables this season. A couple of weeks back, Vivo successfully launched the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. Then Samsung just recently launched its Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 during the Samsung Unpacked event. And now it seems that Google is gearing up to launch its foldable- the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Though there is no official confirmation from the tech giant yet, rumours and leaks have started to give us a hint of what we can expect from the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Let’s take a look.
New leaked images have been spotted online that were leaked from the NCC regulatory agency’s website. Along with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, other smartphones from the Pixel lineup have surfaced too. It goes by the codename (GGH2X). The NCC had internal images of the devices that have surfaced on the internet.
Moving on, these leaked images show that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold might offer slimmer top and bottom bezels on the inner display when compared to the original Pixel Fold. The crease also looks reduced from the images. And in a few images, the foldable is lying completely flat, which wasn’t the case with the first-gen foldable from Pixel.
From the leaked images, it is pretty clear that Google is moving the inner selfie camera to the corner of the screen now. This we had expected, based on early renders. Also, on the rear, Google might say goodbye to its traditional long camera bar of the Pixel series and go for a square camera arrangement for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Further, coming to battery, these leaks also give us an estimate of the improvement we might get to see on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It is expected that we might get a bigger 4560 mAh (1183 mAh + 3377 mAh) battery this time.
Google has confirmed the date of its “Made by Google” event, where the tech giant launches its Pixel series smartphone, and the Pixel Fold was also launched at this event. However, Google hasn’t officially revealed the products it will launch during the event but like always rumours and leaks are here to help. So we are expecting the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be launched during the Made by Google event on August 13. Along with that, it will most likely launch the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and a new Pixel 9 Pro XL is also rumoured.
But let’s take this information with a pinch of salt and wait for an official confirmation.
