This iPhone 16 Pro design leak suggests a change in ‘Titanium’ frame
HIGHLIGHTS

Apple changed its stainless steel frame to a lighter titanium frame with a brushed finish in iPhone 15 Pro.

With iPhone 16 Pro, Apple could restore the glossy frame.

This could be made possible with titanium processing and colour treatment techniques.

Tech enthusiasts and iPhone fans are pretty excited over the latest rumours surrounding Apple’s iPhone 16 series. According to a recent report by 9to5Mac, Apple may change the aesthetic appeal of its iPhone 16 Pro models. How? Apple could introduce a new finish for the titanium frame, instead of the brushed look of its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro.

With the iPhone 15 Pro, we saw Apple change its aesthetics as it shifted from its traditional stainless steel frame to a lighter and more resilient titanium frame with a brushed finish. This led to reduced weight, increased resistance to fingerprints, fewer scratches, etc. But I didn’t like the brushed titanium look a lot.

Now, conversations on Reddit reveal that Apple might restore the glossy on its iPhone 16 Pro variants, something similar to the stainless steel models. There’s no official word on this, but that’s how things roll before any new iPhone launch.

The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro could feature a glossier finish. This could be made possible with titanium processing and colour treatment techniques. Tech enthusiasts and Apple fans are pretty excited about this rumour as they wait for Apple to go back to the polished aesthetic.

If Apple actually decides to go ahead with these changes, the iPhone 16 Pro might end up having a more refined finish with a more premium feel. The rumours themselves have created a frenzy on the internet, I am just thinking how fans will react if Apple goes ahead with it. For now, let’s take this news with a pinch of salt and wait for some official communication.
