Vivo recently launched the Vivo X90 series in China and we have some good news. According to online reports, we might get an updated version of the same pretty soon.
Digital Chat Station reveals that a refreshed model called the Vivo X90S will be released soon. It will run on the yet-to-be-announced Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ chipset.
This will make Vivo X90S Vivo's second offering with MediaTek's Dimensity 9200+ chipset after iQOO Neo8 Pro.
Reports further revealed that the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset will earn an AnTuTu score of about 1,350,000 points. This could beat the scores of the Vivo X90 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra which are the two most powerful Android phones available in the market currently.
This score is a total of the CPU, GPU, memory, and UX performance. This means that whenever MediaTek announces the new platform, it is not just going to be a simple processor upgrade.
Let's take a look at the specifications of Vivo X90S’s predecessor.
The Vivo X90 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip and has an Octa-core processor. It comes in an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option.
On the display front, it features a bezel-less 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a front-camera punch hole.
The phone has a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an additional 12-megapixel lens for up to 20x Digital Zoom, and up to 2x Optical Zoom.
It runs on a 4810mAh battery which supports 120W fast charging with USB type-C support.
