A rumour has been floating around on the internet, stating that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have a separate holster that will let you carry an S pen with the device. The rumour also states that the upcoming device will be using an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is claimed to weigh 275 grams (the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 weighed 263) and may have a 6.5-mm profile (the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 had a 6.3-mm profile). This change in size is what started the rumours about the S Pen holster.
So far, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series do offer a large screen and compatibility with the S Pen, the latter has not been as integrated into the smartphone’s design and build as consumers would like. If we’re going to be carrying around an S Pen, then we need something to place it in – ideally, an accessible holder that doesn’t stray away from the smartphone itself. The rumoured S Pen holster on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 may solve this issue, much to the delight of many consumers.
Another rumour indicates that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with a Snapdragon 985 5G. The rumour specifies that a test model of this smartphone was spotted with this chipset, so it is unclear how credible it is.
